We received a lot of excellent photos from readers of the site who participated in our Maui Jim Sunglasses Best Fishing Photo of 2011 contest. Unfortunately, we were only able to award Maui Jim sunglasses or apparel to seven of those photos. There were, however, many more excellent submissions that deserved to be showcased.

This is a gallery of the runners up in the contest, in order of points received from our judges (ordered highest to lowest). Included in this gallery are all the photos that received at least 20 points from the judges. Given that we have no plans to explain the points system used to rank the photos, this likely means nothing to you. Suffice it to say that these are entries that fared well, but failed to make the cut.
