This one of my favorite catch and release moments on the famous Owyhee River in Oregon. With a huge smile on my face, I held on to this beautiful brown trout for a few moments, taking in how the setting sun highlighted her spots. I'll always remember this moment- as I let her tail go she rested only a foot from me. We stared at each other for about fifteen minutes. Catch and release is a wonderful experience.
