With around 6,000 steelhead crossing the Bonneville Dam every day, steelhead season on the Oregon and Washington tributaries of the Columbia River is heating up fast. The recent drop in water temps have made for better fishing as of late. Skaters are coming into play in the mornings though you're better off fishing a wet in the evenings. The sink-tip bite in the mid-day has been strong until around 3:00pm.

While this year's season continues to swing into gear, these photos offer a look at some scenes from seasons past on the Deschutes River in Oregon and the Klickitat River in Washington.
