Whether because of good fortune and temperate climate, or an unwillingness to let the seasons disturb the pursuit of trout, anglers can usually find their way to chase trout all year long. Sometimes this means going where the conditions are best, other times it simply means braving the conditions at hand. The collection below, from Utah photographer Corey Kruitbosch, offers a look at 12 months of brown trout.
Living in Ogden, Utah, Corey has been slapping down hoppers in the Rockies since the age of thirteen. Working as a 3D artist in the games industry for seventeen-plus years, has given his photography a personal sense of style and a perspective that derives inspiration from his day job. Corey's photography has been published in many national magazines and featured on the covers of “The Drake”, “Northwest Fly Fishing”, and the Trout Unlimited Publication “Trout”.
When asked about his inspiration for much of his photography, Corey says, "I prize the quality of time spent on a river, focus, and the enjoyment of sharing the experience with other anglers. When on the river, things seem to be a little more real and poignant. Hopefully, I am able to capture some of the emotion of these experiences."
