Patagonia's Malleo River

Been struggling to find just the right gift for the angler that has everything? Well, search no longer. Give the gift of Patagonia. Heck, for the price of a fly rod (if you're into really scarce, antique bamboo, that is), you can send your favorite angler on the trip of a lifetime, with us, when we head to Patagonia this April.

Yes, that's intentionally a bit tongue-in-cheek. Fly fishing vacations aren't the sort of thing you toss under the tree in a box. But, if you've got Patagonia pegged high on your list of dream travel destinations -- and we've yet to meet an angler for which it doesn't -- you'll want to learn more about what we've got in store this April.

We'll be spending 11 days exploring northern Patagonia, widely regarded as home to the best dry fly fisheries in all of South America. Not only is the trip stacked with the opportunity to fish a new river every day -- casting delicate mayflies, tossing chunky attractor dries, swinging big dreamers and so on -- for zealous, wild, big rainbow and brown trout, it offers an authentic look at northern Patagonia's culture through visits to Argentinian cities, stays at real working Patagonian estancias.

There's a lot to talk about, and a lot to see. If you're interested, head here for full trip details, including lots of photos which will provide a glimpse of some of the places our April itinerary will take you.
